November Luncheon:
On November 1, Texans for Fiscal Responsibility, the premier project of Empower Texans, will be discussed by Michael Quinn Sullivan, president and CEO of the organization. He also serves as treasurer of the Empower Texans PAC. A graduate of Texas A&M University, he has been a reporter for daily newspapers and served as press secretary to a congressman. He has worked in political campaigns and trained conservative and libertarian leaders on effective communication stragegies. Most recently he spent five years with the Texas Public Policy Foundation, where he served as vice president. His commentaries have appeared in newspapers and magazines around the state and nation. He is a frequent guest on talk radio programs and is often called upon to address policy and political issues before groups across the country.
Election of 2011 officers will also be on the agenda. The nominating committee composed of Joyce Melugin, Chris Sale, Evelyn Farmer and Tina Wheelock has presented the following slate to be voted on:

Meeting is at Dave & Busters at 11:45. The menu will be parmesan crusted caesar salad--chicken breast served over Romaine lettuce with garlic-cheese croutons and tossed with roasted garlic cheese dressing. Veggie option is grilled vegetables. Cost of luncheon is $16 Reservations are essential and obligates you to the cost of the luncheon.
